Save Money While Booking Your Summer Vacation

Summer is around the corner and you haven’t booked your vacation yet? Two possible explanations. One, you’re a big-time procrastinator. Or two, you’ve already planned out the entire trip but are missing one little detail: the money to get there. Either way, we’re here to help you out.
Click below to find out how you can save money while booking your summer vacation!

First of all, choose a destination.

Let’s turn those dreams into reality. Instead of saying, “I am going to Europe this summer,” be more specific. Do the research needed and say, “I am going to Berlin, Paris, or Rome.”

Book your flight.

So you decided where you wanted to go this summer. Now, it’s all about getting the best deal with air travel. Here are some tips to prevent you from being the fool who paid double the amount compared to the other passengers on the flight.
First of all, use a platform like Skyscanner which compares different airlines and offers you the best deals.  Secondly, the best time to book your flight is two months in advance.  Finally — and this is a major tip — always book your flight during the weekend. It’s all a game of supply and demand, and during the weekends touring operators aren’t working, giving you a better chance to book your flight at a lower price than during the week.

Find your accommodation.

So you booked your flight. Now, you need to start looking for accommodation. You’re probably dreaming about a 5-star hotel, but we’re trying the save money, remember?
That said, cities offer a lot of different accommodation options. Hostels, for example, are a great way to save money, especially if you’re young and don’t mind sharing your personal space with other travelers.
For those who prefer a little more privacy, Airbnb is probably the best option. These apartments often come with a kitchen so you can save on breakfast as well.
However, if you really want the luxury of a hotel bed, we recommend booking your stay on a site like Booking.com, as they probably offer you a better deal compared to the hotels themselves.

Some final tips that might save you some money.

Doesn’t matter where you’re going, you’ll probably want to do some activities during your stay. Try booking those in advance and look up if your destination offers a city pass where you can combine different activities at a lower price.
If you go to a destination with another currency, always pay with your credit card so you don’t have to pay for extra fees. If you prefer to have cash in the currency of the country you’re visiting, get it in advance, in your own bank. They will probably be able to offer you a better deal than the bank in a foreign country.

Want some extra pocket money during your stay?

It’s still your summer holiday, so you should enjoy it.  For this reason, some extra cash always comes in handy. Before you leave on your big trip, visit Provident Loan Society with your golden or silver jewelry or watches as collateral in exchange for a cash loan. Provident Loan Society has 5 different locations in the city and offers cash loans up to $ 100,000 in less than 20 minutes.
