Memorial Day Concert at Green-Wood Cemetery
Memorial Day is the date for the annual concert of the New York Symphonic Band at the Green-Wood Cemetery. Snack and refreshments will be available for purchase at the cemetery, and as an extra this year, the concert will feature a program in honor of famed composer and conductor, Leonard Bernstein.
So bring your blanket and friends, and enjoy a the live concert in the sun.
Randall’s Island Outdoor Movie Nights
The Friday before Memorial Day, Randall’s Island kicks off its annual outdoor movie schedule with their first outdoor screening on May 24th. The best thing about this besides the popcorn? It’s totally free of charge. Heck yeah!

Those who love art should visit the Washington Square Outdoor Art Exhibition from May 25th till till June 2nd. Hundreds of artist display their work during this 9 day outdoor exhibition. Artist differ from art students, to sculptors, to painters, to jewelry artists etc.
